For me it’s imperative that Utility shorts have pockets. I always prefer to store my keys and phone in my pockets versus carrying.

All my shorts are fitted, not too tight or restrictive nor loose or baggy. An inseam that wears above the knee allows for flexibility during activity and non restrictive motion.

Bright colors (High-Vis) allow my outfit to pop and be visible to cars and pedestrians while exercising. Not to mention showing off my quad gains from cycling.
